The 75 trapped peacekeepers in Golan Heights are secure

The Syrian Observatory of Human Rights had also mention earlier of firefights near the UN camp in the Golan Heights

According to a spokesman of the Philippine Army, all 75 peacekeepers of the United Nations of Filipino which were in a difficult position as they were surrounded by Islamic militants on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights, are now safe after the battle that took place.
“Everyone is safe. We abandoned our position, but we got all our weapons, “said Colonel Ramon Zagkala head of peacekeepers force from the Philippines.

Another 35 Filipine soldiers  are in another base, the Camp 69, about four kilometers from where the earlier fighting took place, but took no part in the conflict with members of the Islamic Front Al Nosra.
