Three injured in an explosion at an Airbnb in the centre of Thessaloniki

There was no fire

Three people were injured, according to reports from the fire department, after an explosion at a gas station in the centre of Thessaloniki on Saturday morning.

Specifically, shortly before 10:00, a loud bang was heard in an Airbnb apartment in a building block at the junction of Apostolou Pavlou and Agios Dimitriou streets, in the centre of the city. The fire brigade and EKAV ambulances arrived on the scene immediately, and the three injured people were rushed to hospital.

The reports state that the “gas” was in an electric stove.

The explosion did not cause a fire.
