Tsipras: Unless we are forced to, we will not proceed to any unilateral actions

“We aim at being a single ruling party government” says the leader of SYRIZA – He attempts to reassure the markets and the lenders on the issues of debt and loan – He speaks of political consensus but only after national elections are conducted

During the meeting of the Political Secretariat of SYRIZA with the main subject of discussion the electoral goal of coquetting self-reliance, Mr. Alexis Tsipras stated that “the result of the first parliamentary election is a positive step” and added that “Is not possible to blackmail Democracy”.

At the same time, Mr. Tsipras sent a reassuring message to the Europeans, since in his interview to Reuters he assures that he will not make any unilateral actions against creditors, “unless he is forced.”

Among other, the leader of SYRIZA explains how: “Negotiation” means that we want an agreed solution and adds that he initially expects a tough attitude from the partners.

Furthermore, in regards to debt and the loan agreement Mr. Tsipras stated that SYRIZA will renegotiate.

With the above statement it is obvious that the leader of SYRIZA changes the original position of the party.

Also, Mr. Tsipras  excluded the possibility to work with the bipartisan government Samaras – Venizelos, in order to avoid early elections, by saying that a wider political consensus will be achieved only after national elections.
