Turkish basketball team Fenerbahce showed its solidarity with Greece in the wake of the fatal train accident in Larissa as it hung a banner reading “Greece we stand with you” in Greek.
The team of Dimitris Itoudis based in Constantinople (Istanbul) the day after the train collision issued a statement about the victims but also raised a banner in support of the Greek people.

At the Ulker Sports Arena, which is its headquarters, a banner was raised that reads: “Greece we are with you”. Next to it are the flags of Turkey and Greece. The banner went up before the match against Virtus for the Euroleague.
