A royal Easter for ex-king of Greece and his family on Spetses (photos)

The royals attended mass on the isle of Spetses before boarding their yacht to return to Porto Heli on the mainland

Greece’s ex-king Constantine II Glicksberg spent Easter at the Cathedral of St. Nicholas on the isle of Spetses. He was with his wife Anna Maria and his son Nicholas and his wife Tatiana Blatnik.

The former family of Greece stood side by side with other parishioners and listened to the service. He was the first to accept the Holy Light from the hand of Archimandrite Grigorios Nanakoudis.

Speaking t0 Proto Thema, Constantine wished all Greeks a Happy Easter.


The royal family was also on the island during the Epitaph procession on Good Friday.

Sources state that the family boarded their yacht and went to their holiday house at Porto Heli following the church service.

Other local celebrities on the island included composer and performer Dionyssis Savvopoulos and his wife Elly who frequently head to the island.
