Possibly the largest owl in the world was rescued in the area of ​​Acheloos, central Greece.

Specifically, the horned owl (Bubo bubo) was found injured on Saturday (31/10) and initially received first aid from a resident of the Settlement of Agios Georgios Kalivia in Agrinio, while animal rescuer Nikos Peterekas helped to transport the bird to a shelter.

Nikos Paterekas, a volunteer with his experience of nature and knowledge of wildlife, helped the hurt owl and assisted in transporting it to a location that will be safe for this large bird.

The rescuer wrote about it on his personal Facebook account thanking all those involved in spotting the large bird and providing aid to transfer it to a safe animal reserve house.
