Although she had worn a wedding dress many times before during her career, for the needs of her leading roles in several popular series, this time was different for the prominent Turkish actress Beren Saat, as she was wearing it for her own wedding.

The popular Turkish actress, best known for her leading roles in “Temptation” and “Fatmagul” series which were very successful in Greece, was united in holy matrimony to her beloved Kenan Dogulu.

The couple, who have been together for the last 2.5 years, decided to take the next step and get married in a glamorous ceremony in Los Angeles on July 30.

The photographs published by the Turkish “Hurriyet” show beautiful “Fatmagul” wearing a simple wedding dress. Her choice was criticized extensively by the Turkish media.

Beren Saat is one of the highest paid actresses in Turkey and her wedding was big news for the local media. And although her husband is not as famous as her in Greece, he is one of the most popular musicians in Turkey. Kenan Dogulu won the 4th place in the Eurovision contest in 2007 with the song “Shake it up şekerim”, an upbeat dance hit.

The life of the famous actress may seem like a fairytale to many. However, she has also experienced many hardships in the past.

In 2004, Beren got into a relationship with her classmate Efe. The couple stayed together for three years and they were inseparable. Efe was studying to become a dentist and despite being a year younger than the actress he was very mature compared to other boys his age.

However, their love story ended tragically. One night, not different than any other, Beren woke up to a phone call that was about to change her life forever.

It was Efe’s sister on the phone. She told her that Efe was in a serious car accident, and they were all in the Hospital. She rushed there but only to find out that Efe was long gone.
