Lina Kyropoulou and Zanis Halas got married a few days ago in Doha, the capital city of Qatar and the former Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani was the best man in their dream wedding.

The story of how the young couple and Sheikh Al Thani met is full of strange coincidences. Lina was a marketing executive in a large advertising agency in Greece and Zanis was working in banking. In December 2012, they both moved to London, in order to set up “Carpo London” a Greek deli and coffee bar on Picadilly.

About 1.5 years ago, they met former Emir Al Thani for the first time when he visited the store during his visit in the British capital. The Arab millionaire became a regular customer of the Greek deli and formed a special relationship with the couple. In fact, Zanis and Lina were invited many times to visit Doha and had the opportunity to visit various Greek islands with the Sheikh’s private yacht.

The friendship between Lina with the former Emir’s wife was the decisive factor that made the Sheikh propose to be the best man. Of course this proposal was immediately accepted by the happy couple.

The wedding ceremony took place on Friday, November 14 and the best man made sure that the young couple’s wedding was nothing short of a fairy tale. Everything, from the bride’s dress to the amazing hotel where the reception was held, was luxurious and classy.
