Since Monday, the institution of “Neighborhood Police” makes a comeback.
22 neighbors in Athens and Thessaloniki will be “guarded” exclusively by Police officers who will be patrolling their area.
The Police officers will be patrolling their area of responsibility, they will communicate personally with residents and local bodies while they will carry a special badge and mobile phone.
According to the Ministry of Public Order, the implementation of the institution takes place within the framework of a trial for the new criminal policy.
