Syrian man accused of raping his partner’s disabled children in Crete

Police are investigating if the mother was aware of the alleged rapes

Newsroom June 6 01:55

A 52-year-old Syrian, who is accused of serial rape of minors suffering from disabilities, was temporarily detained in Crete after a 24-year-old disabled victim reported his ordeal to authorities.

The 24-year-old who attends the special needs school was the one who spoke out after he became aware the Syrian was also sexually abusing his younger. The 24-year-old alleged victim instructed his brother, 14, to record on his mobile phone the sexual acts the 52-year-old submitted him to and to send it to him. The older brother reported the case to the psychologist, who then informed the police. In fact, the 24-year-old who lives on the ground floor with his 26-year- old brother, in his testimony stated that the 52-year-old abused him from the age of 17, while he expressed the belief that he had also abused their older brother. He also said he believed their mother was aware of the abuse of all three …

For his part, the 14-year-old states that he was first raped by the 52-year-old when he was finishing 6th grade. He stated that the man forcibly threw him on the bed and since then forced him to submit to his deviant desires almost every day when his mother was away from home.

The child believes, like his 24-year-old brother, that their mother had seen them, that she knew what was happening and that is why she had told the 14-year-old not to stay home when she was away.

The minor boy allegedly reported that the man would offer him 1-2 euros every time he raped him, and if he did not … he threw 50 minutes at him. In some cases, the alleged rapist threatened to throw him from the balcony.

As for the role of the mother, police are investigating her role, as it seems that she had knowledge of the recurrent rapes of her children and did nothing to save her children.

The father of the children – the parents are divorced – will make a statement of civil action against the accused and will claim custody of the children.
