The Greek consulate in Odessa is the only consulate in an EU member state operating in the Black Sea port, crucial to the global economy.
In historic Odessa, the seat of the Greek revolutionary brotherhood “Filiki Eteria” and a crossroads of cultures, the presence of the Greek community is important, especially the contribution of the businessman Mr. Pantelis Boubouras (unpaid honorary consul of Yalta) who with his donations and love for Hellenism, strengthened so much the Greek community in Odessa, Mariupol and the other centers inhabited by Greeks, as well as the new generation of Ukraine through the Bouboura Foundation, uniting the two peoples with its rich philanthropic work.
