The figure of the elderly gentleman who appeared in a steakhouse yesterday afternoon did not go unnoticed in Halepa Square in Athens.

Some recognised 84-year-old Jon Voight, an “old” Hollywood star who, accompanied by a friend, sat down to eat souvlaki (skewed meat).

Angelina Jolie’s father enjoyed his meal – he indulged in the traditional souvlaki – with his friend, and seemed relaxed and took some photos with the restaurant staff.

The reason for his visit to Athens remains unknown, i.e. if he is here for business reasons or leisure.

He is considered an iconic actor starring in such amazing films as Midnight Cowboy and When Violence Breaks Out, while his performance in Andrei Konchalovsky’s The Great Escape was considered outstanding.
