Chile: Detained woman took police officer’s gun and started shooting on live TV – Three injured

Among the injured was the cameraman who was recording her arrest

A dramatic end to the live-streamed arrest operation of a woman in a Chilean market on Monday when, after she managed to grab a police officer’s gun, she started shooting indiscriminately, resulting in three people being injured.

According to La Nacion newspaper, the woman’s gunfire wounded a police officer in the knee, a cameraman and another person.

More seriously injured was the cameraman from Contigo en la Mañana, who was taken to hospital. His condition is stable.

The woman, who works at the market, was shot four times. According to reports, she had earlier had an argument with police officers.
