A Hamas official told Reuters today that there has been no progress in the new round of talks for a ceasefire in Gaza, taking place in Cairo with the participation of delegations from Israel, Qatar, and the United States.

“There has been no change in the position regarding the occupation and therefore, there is nothing new in the talks in Cairo,” the Hamas official, who requested not to be named, told Reuters. “There is still no progress.”
