Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the conference ygeiamou.gr stated that Greece has an obligation to redress the vulnerability of its health care system which holds several past adhesions including staffing shortages. The PM went on to express the obligation to rectify the flaw in the system by providing quality healthcare conditions which is crucial. He continued to underline that the government has initiated a plan for reforms, allocating significant resources from the Recovery Fund to improve infrastructure and address personnel shortages. Further, he emphasised the launch of significant investments in Artificial Intelligence claiming the importance of data which must be anonymous and that will begin with the Myhealthapp to integrate medical records.

The importance of prevention and a healthy lifestyle is to ensure well-being in the coming years expressed the PM and continued by stating that the government’s perception of health needs will change given the continuous adult population. Technology can assist in this he said, through wearables further, denoting that they alter behaviors; where people can monitor their sleep, exercise time and blood sugar. PM Mitsotakis articulated that telemedicine services are a significant especially for patients in remote areas such as those who are habitants of remote islands where medicine can be sent via drones something that is already being tested in Naxos and the Small Cyclades.
