A thriller involving Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is unfolding since Sunday.

The helicopter carrying the president of Iran made an “emergency landing,” state television reported without further details, while other media in the country conveyed information about poor weather conditions at the scene and the difficulty rescuers are having reaching the area.

The incident occurred in the Iranian province of East Azerbaijan.

Along with the president, Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and other officials were on the same helicopter.

Israeli Channel 12 reported that the Iranian president has been killed.
