The weather today: Rainy scene remains in much of the country – showers in Attica from noon

Light showers and showers in the west, central and northern parts will occur in the country today, according to ERT meteorologist Panagiotis Giannopoulos.

The storms will mainly occur in the western parts, in the Ionian Sea and in the western mainland. Winds in the Ionian Sea south up to 4 Beaufort, north in the Aegean up to 5 Beaufort. The temperature at noon will be between 24 and 28 degrees.

At the same time, and on Friday there will be local showers and a few thunderstorms in the Ionian Sea, the western mainland, Thessaly, the Sporades, Evia and Macedonia.

In Attica, there is a high probability of local rain or showers in the afternoon. The temperature up to 28 degrees Celsius.

In Thessaloniki the weather will be unstable with local rain or thunderstorms. The temperature will be up to 24 degrees Celsius. Tomorrow too there will be some rain in Thessaloniki.

THURSDAY 19-09-2024

Cloudy with local showers and occasional sporadic thunderstorms in the Ionian Sea, the mainland, the Sporades, Evia and Crete.
Winds will blow in the Ionian Sea from the south and in the Aegean Sea from the north, locally up to 5 Beaufort.
The temperature will not change significantly and will reach 24 to 26 degrees Celsius in the north and 27 to 29 degrees Celsius in the rest of the country.

In the rest of the country, clouds will increase at times with local showers and isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon in the mainland, mainly in the mountains (except Thrace) and in Crete.
The winds will blow in the west east northeast 3 to 4 Beaufort, while from noon onwards they will shift from the north with the same intensity. In the east it will blow from the north 5 to 6 and locally 7 Beaufort.
The temperature will not change significantly.
