Incredible Emmanouil Karalis made history today by setting a new Greek national record in pole vault with a jump of 6.05m at the World Indoor Championships final in China. “Manolo” clinched the silver medal in an electrifying competition, attempting to surpass Sweden’s Mondo Duplantis, who took gold with 6.15m. Sam Kendricks secured bronze at 5.90m.
Karalis improved the Greek national record for the sixth time this year, putting on a phenomenal performance by clearing every height on his first attempt from his entry at 5.70m up to his record-breaking 6.05m.
