Vishwos Kumar Ramesh, 39, as reported by Indian media, was on the aircraft that crashed on Thursday in Ahmedabad, India, but he managed to survive the crash shortly after takeoff.
More than 200 people on board lost their lives.
Ramesh was seated in seat 11A and, according to his own testimony, stood up and ran away after the crash.
A photo from the Hindustan Times shows him in the hospital with minor facial injuries. He also sustained injuries to his chest and legs, but he was able to communicate.
He is a British citizen who has been living in the country for over 20 years and had traveled to India to visit his family.
His 45-year-old brother Ajay was also on the same flight, though seated elsewhere. Vishwos says he has been looking for him but cannot find him.

Speaking to the Hindustan Times, he said:
“Thirty seconds after takeoff, there was a loud noise, and then the plane crashed. Everything happened so fast.”
He added:
“When I got up, there were bodies around me. I was scared. I stood up and ran. There were pieces of the plane everywhere. Someone grabbed me, put me in an ambulance, and took me to the hospital.”
