Anna Vissi: Magical night at the Panathenaic Stadium with 60,000 people – The kiss with Karvelas and her stunning performance (videos-photos)

Endless energy, an unchanged voice, and an evening full of powerful moments at the Panathenaic Stadium, which is once again sold out tonight

Newsroom September 14 04:01

“I’m Anna Vissi, guys, and I love you very much,” was heard from the microphone just before the iconic “and the phone doesn’t ring” echoed from her magical voice. Last night, the ultimate Greek star sang her greatest hits, lifting the crowd at the Panathenaic Stadium, only hours before filling it up again tonight – since her fans wouldn’t settle for just one night this year.

Spectacular performances, boundless energy, a voice that hasn’t changed, and an evening from which no one could leave disappointed – even if they endured the long entrance and exit lines at the stadium. After so many years in the spotlight, Anna Vissi still manages in 2025 not only to have a devoted fanbase, but also to be heard all winter long in every nightlife spot in Athens.

Even if someone didn’t know the Greek-Cypriot singer had a massive concert last night at the Panathenaic Stadium, videos of her performances have flooded social media. So, it’s unlikely that anyone scrolling through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or TikTok on Sunday morning wouldn’t pause for at least a moment to see what happened in downtown Athens the night before.

The most impressive videos from the concert are, of course, the drone shots showing the packed stands of the stadium, the stage stretching from end to end, and the audience singing every lyric along with Anna Vissi.

#vissi_kallimarmaro #βίσση #βίσση_καλλιμάρμαρο #καλλιμάρμαρο pic.twitter.com/FFmkGJeQXi

The evening kicked off spectacularly with a video showing Anna Vissi “emerging” from a golden figure, followed by career highlights.

Part of the proceeds from this grand concert will go toward supporting the mission of the ELPIDA Association. Anna Vissi, as an Artist for ELPIDA, has always stood by children with cancer, supporting the association’s vital work in Greek society, founded by the late Marianna V. Vardinogiannis and now led by her daughter, Christiana V. Vardinogiannis, who continues with vision and responsibility to stand by the children fighting their own battles. Thousands of friends and supporters of ELPIDA were present at the stadium, sending a powerful message against childhood cancer.

Nikos Karvelas joined Anna Vissi on stage

Fans were in for a delightful surprise when Nikos Karvelas appeared on stage to perform old and newer hits with Anna Vissi. Her former husband and composer was also at the packed stadium and sang, among others, “Min Mou Pathis Tipota” and “Se Periptosi Pou”, songs he had written for her. A TikTok video shows Vissi clearly enjoying her reunion with Karvelas on stage. She jokingly told him, “By the way, the keys are over there, you know that, right?” and later shouted “I love you” before hugging him and continuing her set.
