On Sunday morning (21/9), the Coast Guard arrested two Afghans for migrant trafficking and located 31 illegal migrants in the sea area off Cape Louros in Kos.
More specifically, the boat had departed from the Turkish coast and disembarked the 33 passengers—31 illegal migrants and two Afghan traffickers, aged 19 and 39—at Cape Louros.
There, they were spotted by the Hellenic Police, who arrested the two traffickers. A case file was opened against them for participation in a criminal organization, endangerment, and illegal entry into the country.
The refugees and migrants were taken to the Kos Reception and Identification Center (RIC), while their boat was seized.
