Athens International Airport: Passenger traffic rose to 29.33 million in the 10-month period – flights also increased

Passenger traffic at Athens airport (AIA) posted a 4% increase in October compared to the same period last year, reaching 3.13 million. Domestic demand declined by 1.6% compared to 2024 levels, while international passenger traffic continued its upward trajectory exceeding 2024 levels by 6.3%.

In total, during the first 10 months of the year, airport traffic reached 29.33 million passengers, marking an increase of 6.4%. Passenger traffic, both domestic and international, increased by 1.8% and 8.3% respectively.

The number of flights at Athens International Airport during the first ten months of 2025 reached 244,500, recording an increase of 5.4% compared to 2024. Domestic flights rose by 0.9%, while international flights recorded an increase of 8.6% compared to the same period in 2024.
