Foreign Minister Giorgios Gerapetritis had a telephone conversation with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelati, yesterday. The two Foreign Ministers discussed bilateral issues and exchanged views on regional developments within the framework of the Strategic Partnership between the two countries.
The two Foreign Ministers expressed their willingness to strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation in areas of common interest. They also discussed the trilateral cooperation project between Greece, Cyprus, and Egypt, stressing the importance of holding an early trilateral ministerial meeting to address developments in the region, including those in the Eastern Mediterranean.
