New details have emerged about the fall of the 13-year-old from a school balcony in Haidari, with reports indicating that the student felt dizzy, slipped on the railing, and fell into the schoolyard.
The incident has shocked students, who left the 7th Junior High School of Haidari earlier than usual following the accident.
At the same time, psychologists are expected to be at the school from tomorrow to support students affected by the incident.
The accident occurred at around 11:00 a.m. at the 7th Junior High School of Haidari. An EKAB ambulance was called by the principal and transported the girl, alive, to Attikon Hospital, the nearest facility, where she was intubated. She was later transferred to the Children’s Hospital “Agia Sofia.” The student is expected to undergo surgery, as she has cerebral edema and a pelvic fracture.
It is noted that the EKAB mobile medical unit arrived at the school within four minutes to transport the injured girl.
