Benjamin Netanyahu revealed that he underwent treatment for a malignant tumor in the prostate, after previously having undergone surgery for benign prostate enlargement in December 2024, emphasizing that his condition has been successfully treated and that his health is good.
The information is included in an extensive post on his social media accounts, which accompanied the release of his annual medical evaluation.
According to the report’s findings, the 76-year-old Israeli Prime Minister’s health is good, with all blood tests and physical fitness assessments within normal ranges. It is also noted that his cardiac function remains stable, with no issues following the implantation of a pacemaker in July 2023.
He also stated that he delayed disclosing his medical condition for about two months, in order—he said—to prevent the information from being used for propaganda purposes by Iran. During March clashes, rumors had circulated online about his injury or even death.
In his post, Netanyahu said: “I want to share three things with you: First, thank God, I am healthy. Second, I am in excellent physical condition. Third, I had a minor medical issue in the prostate, which was fully treated.”
As he explained, during a routine check-up after his surgery in December 2024, doctors detected a small lesion, less than one centimeter, diagnosed as an early-stage malignant tumor, with no metastases.
Although he was initially advised to opt for monitoring without immediate intervention, the Israeli Prime Minister chose to proceed with treatment. “When I am informed in time about a potential risk, I choose to deal with it immediately. This applies both at a national and personal level,” he said.
According to him, he underwent targeted treatment that completely eliminated the problem.
