An improvised explosive device (IED) went off at 112 Ippokratous St, in Exarchia, in downtown Athens, Wednesday, at 11.45pm causing material damage. The blast occurred in the main entrance of a building block where “Elefhteri Skeci” bookstore is located which had come under attack in 2008 with petrol bombs. The lawyer of Tsatsani, Themis Sofos stated an explosion had happened at the main entrance of prosecutor’s entrance. At approximately 10.22pm an unanimous call to newspaper “Efhmerida Ton Syntakton” had warmed of the imminent explosion. No injuries were reported.
