Newsroom March 26 11:53

A 19-year-old from Georgia injured an 18-year-old student from Nigeria with a hammer and the school principal with a knife at a high school in Kypseli, Athens.

A student spoke to protothema.gr for what happened on Tuesday morning.

The student said, “as we were going upstairs for class, we saw the kid defending himself and the perpetrator hit him on the head with a hammer. The kid lost consciousness and fell to the floor, and blood was everywhere. Then the principal tried to see if the kid was conscious and got stabbed”.

“The principal got stabbed when he tried to protect the student”, the same girl added.

Asked about what preceded the incident, the girl said, “last week, the brother of my classmate (the 19-year-old perpetrator) tried to pick a fight with the kid (the 18-year-old victim of the attack) and told someone as an excuse that, ‘he wanted to kill my family'”.
