A new fire broke out on Tuesday afternoon (18/6) in Alexandroupolis, in the Kirki area, within a forested region.

There are 35 firefighters operating with 12 vehicles, 1 team from the 7th EMODE, 2 aircraft, and 1 helicopter.

Volunteers are also assisting.

According to reports, residences are not threatened.

It is noted that a fire that broke out earlier in a rural-forested area in the Monastiraki region of Alexandroupolis as well, was partially brought under control shortly after 13:00.
