The secretary of the Lega and vice-president of the Italian government Mateo Salvini commented on Instagram on the result of the US election.

“Fighting illegal immigration, lower taxes, Christian roots and return to peace, freedom of thought and not politics of our own. And in the United States, reason, passion, and the future won! Good job, President Trump,” Salvini wrote on Instagram.
