Alexis Tsipras will meet with Potami party leader Stavros Theodorakis in order to ask for his support in a newly formed Greek coalition government.
Despite the fact that members of the party stated that Theodorakis will not support SYRIZA after the Tsipras-Kammenos deal aerlier in the day, it all seems to be hanging on the meeting between the two men.
Theodorakis stated that “Potami is here, it will not budge from its positions”.
Tsipras is apparently, according to reports, ready to meet with Dimitris Koutsoubas, General Secretary of the Communist Party. The latter, however, denies any talks between the two party leaders.
As far as talks about a candidate for the ceremonial post of president are concerned, Tsipras has declared that he will propose a candidate based on a general consensus, one who will hopefully gain the vote of 180 MPs.
