Main opposition New Democracy party on Thursday revealed the signatures of the Feb. 20 document between the Greek government and eurozone partners, which include the ones by FinMin Yanis Varoufakis, BoG director Yannis Stournaras and the representatives of the “Institutions”.
ND leader Antonis Samaras charged Alexis Tsipras’ government should “stop lying” and bring the deal to Parliament for debate and ratification.
“The government, for one and a half months now, does not dare bring the decision, which it signed, to Parliament, a decision which extends the loan agreement. It is afraid of the Parliamentary vote and especially the votes of its own members and the ANEL coalition government party members who support it,” Samaras said, adding:
“But the main reason why is because the party does not wish the Greek people to know the truth. This extension document has now arrived at our doorstep, signed by the government. We are making it public so that every Greek citizen can see it. The truth cannot be hidden and lies will come to light. The extension which was co-signed by the government agrees on a four-month extension of the loan”, he said.
