On military readiness, Trump emphasized the U.S. has “unlimited ammunition stockpiles” and justified strikes on Iran, stating they were preparing attacks on Israel and others, and that Europe funds ammunition but sends much of it to Ukraine.
Regarding international relations, Trump described Spain as having “nice people, but not nice leadership,” expressed dissatisfaction with Britain, and said the U.S. has strong ties with Germany. He also remarked on Venezuela, noting that 100 million barrels of oil were “used to repay the war.”

Chatzidakis: No Issues with Safety Stocks or Market Supply

In any case, the government has been mobilized from the very first moment, both at the level of foreign policy and defense, as well as regarding economic impacts,” said Deputy Prime Minister Kostis Chatzidakis, clarifying:
“First, I assure you that there is no issue concerning safety stockpiles. Second, there is and will be no issue with market supply. Third, the government has already acted regarding the messages that should be sent to refineries and trading companies. We believe they will act with the responsibility required. Fourth, the Consumer Protection Authority has issued a statement and will take action to monitor any profiteering. For all these reasons, there is no cause for panic.”
Chatzidakis also noted that the budget includes scenarios—which do not mean they will materialize—for international oil prices reaching up to $100 per barrel. “Because a prudent manager must consider these calculations. The state, if necessary, will do whatever is required to limit any potential impacts,” he said.

Netanyahu: Israel did not drag the U.S. into war with Iran; Trump is the strongest leader doing what’s right for America
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dismissed reports that Israel dragged the U.S. into war with Iran, calling the claims “ridiculous,” while praising Donald Trump.
“Donald Trump is the strongest leader in the world. He does what he believes is right for America and for future generations,” Netanyahu told Fox News.
Referring to Iran and addressing the U.S., Netanyahu said Tehran is “committed to your destruction.” “Whether people understand it or not, the leader has to. Donald Trump understands it. He doesn’t need to be dragged into anything. He does what he thinks is right—and that is right,” he said.
The New York Times, citing sources directly involved in consultations—including U.S. and Israeli officials, diplomats, lawmakers, and intelligence members—described the U.S. decision to strike Iran as a major Netanyahu victory.

Iranian official: Selection of new Supreme Leader ‘will not take long’
A member of Iran’s Assembly of Experts, which will elect a new Supreme Leader following the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in the U.S.-Israel attack on Saturday, said Tuesday that the process “will not be time-consuming,” according to ISNA.
Ali Moalemi stated that Assembly members have pledged that personal preferences or political factions “will not be a factor” in selecting the new leader and that they will vote based on their judgment and religious principles.
Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced early Tuesday that they were carrying out simultaneous airstrikes in Tehran and Beirut, marking a major escalation on the fourth day of the regional crisis. Explosions were reported in central Tehran, including areas near the old parliament building, while thick smoke rose over Beirut’s southern suburbs following Israeli strikes on what were described as Hezbollah targets. Hezbollah said it responded by launching drones toward Israeli territory, claiming it had targeted the Ramat David air base in northern Israel.
Overnight, Iran launched a drone attack against the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. According to Saudi authorities, four drones were intercepted while two struck the compound, causing a limited fire. The U.S. mission urged American citizens in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dhahran to shelter in place. In response, U.S. President Donald Trump said Washington would retaliate “soon,” warning that the United States was prepared for sustained military action.
Tensions further intensified after Iran’s Revolutionary Guards claimed they had closed the strategic Strait of Hormuz, threatening to target any vessel attempting to pass through it. Roughly one-fifth of global seaborne oil supply normally transits the strait, and oil prices remained elevated for a third consecutive day amid fears of prolonged disruption. Analysts warned that an extended conflict could push crude prices significantly higher, fueling global inflationary pressures.
Meanwhile, the U.S. State Department advised American citizens across much of the Middle East to leave the region, citing serious security risks. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said recent strikes were intended to pre-empt Iranian retaliation against American forces, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insisted the campaign would not become an “endless war” but was aimed at neutralizing Iran’s missile capabilities.
