According to The Oregonian, another team has been added to the “race” for Giannis Antetokounmpo ahead of the upcoming summer.
The Portland Trail Blazers are the team in question, and according to Bill Oram’s report, they are expected to make a push to bring him to Portland.
“The return of Damian Lillard, especially on a bargain $14 million contract, makes the Blazers better on the court, but it also puts more pressure on the front office to go all in and pursue other stars,” the report noted.
It added:
“The Blazers are prepared to make a bid for Giannis Antetokounmpo if he is willing to sign an extension, but they are unlikely to limit their options solely to Lillard’s former Milwaukee teammate.”
