The new week will be autumnal, as befits the season, according to protothema.gr meteorologist Giorgos Tsatrafyllias, with temperatures hovering around 30°C, plenty of cloud and rain in several parts of Greece.

More specifically: Today, Monday 14 September 2026, localised rain is expected initially in Macedonia, the Sporades, Evia, eastern Central Greece and the Peloponnese, while conditions will gradually develop in the west, as well as Crete. Temperatures will reach 29–30°C in mainland Greece. In Crete and the Dodecanese, they will reach 30–31°C, while in the Cyclades and the northern Aegean they will not exceed 26°C. Winds will be mainly northerly to north-westerly, reaching up to force 6 in the Ionian and Aegean.

In Attica, there may be some rain shortly after midday in the northern and western parts of the region. Temperatures will range from 21°C to 29°C, while northerly winds in the east will locally reach force 4–5. In Thessaloniki, the chance of rain is very low. The Vardaris wind in the Thermaic Gulf will reach force 5 before gradually weakening, while the maximum temperature will reach 28°C.

On Tuesday, Wednesday and, to a lesser extent, Thursday, an upper-atmosphere disturbance will affect western and southern Greece, bringing rain and thunderstorms, locally stronger mainly in Crete and the Dodecanese. Temperatures will fall slightly, while northerly winds in the Aegean will reach force 7. On Friday and Saturday, another disturbance over the central Mediterranean will bring rain mainly to western Greece. Winds will weaken and temperatures will rise slightly.

On Sunday, temperatures will rise slightly again, rain will become confined to the east and north, while winds will weaken further.
