British PM Cameron offers airbase in Cyprus for the war against ISIS

Mr. Cameron reiterated that Britain will do whatever possible to help France

British Prime Minister David Cameron met French President Francois Hollande today in Paris to discuss about the actions to take against ISIS following the deadly terrorist attacks in Paris.

Mr. Cameron said that he had offered France the use of a British airbase in Cyprus for air strikes on ISIS targets.

‘Today I’ve offered President Hollande the use of RAF Akrotiri for French aircraft engaged in counter-ISIL operations and additional assistance with air-to-air refuelling.’

Britain is ready to share intelligence information with France and other European partners.

‘We must do more to tackle the threat of returning foreign fighters,’ Mr Cameron added reiterating that Britain will do whatever possible to help France.

“We must without further delay finally agree the rules that will enable us to share passenger name records. It is frankly ridiculous that we can get more information from countries outside the EU than we can from each other,” he said adding “And we must do more to crack down on the trade in illegal firearms to stop them getting into the hands of terrorists who are determined to wreak such misery with them.”
