Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras met with first Iranian Vice-President E. Jahangiri on Monday pointing out the geopolitical importance of Greece-Iran’s cooperation.
Both leaders confirmed their intention to upgrade cooperation between the two countries, while Greece and Iran signed a series of agreements including a memorandum for political deliberations, an agreement on visa exemption for diplomatic passports and a roadmap for the improvement of bilateral cooperation
The two leaders stressed the importance of combating violence and extremism, while Jahangiri pointed out that the visit of the Greek prime minister constitutes a milestone for the bilateral relations of the two countries.
