A 5% rise in British tourists to Greece in 2016, says ABTA

Western Mediterranean their most popular choice

The Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) released data showing that bookings to Greece by British tourists would see a 5% rise this summer. According to the group’s data the western Mediterranean hewed top spot in the British holidaymakers’ preferences with an annual increases in bookings to the most popular destinations like Portugal (+23%), Spain (+22%) and Cyprus (+16%). Tourism destinations like the US and Mexico also registered a high preference rate among the Brits, while European city breaks were also among their popular choices.
