Change of weather with possibly locally heavy rains and thunderstorms from late afternoon in central and eastern Macedonia (mainly in Halkidiki), eastern Thessaly, the Sporades, Evia and the Cyclades is predicted for today, Tuesday, EMY.
As stated in the weather forecast, the weather will change temporarily with showers and occasional thunderstorms initially in the west, from midday in the rest of the continent and gradually in the rest of the country.
The phenomena will gradually stop from late afternoon in the west. Local snowfall will occur in the northern mountains from the afternoon.
Winds in the south will blow from westerly directions at 4 to 6 Beaufort.
In the remaining areas will be initially variable 3 to 4 Beaufort, from the afternoon northerly 4 to 5 and in the north 6, with further strengthening at night in the northern Aegean Sea locally to 7 Beaufort.
The temperature will drop in the Ionian Sea and the mainland. It will reach in the north 15 to 17 degrees Celsius, in the rest of the country 17 to 19 and locally in the south 20 degrees Celsius.
MACEDONIA, THRACE
Weather: From late afternoon the weather in western Macedonia will improve, but in central and eastern Macedonia (mainly in Halkidiki) the phenomena will intensify and may be strong at times.
Local snowfall will occur in the mountains from the afternoon.
Winds: Variable 2 to 4 Beaufort. From the afternoon from the north, gradually in the central and eastern parts 5 to 6 Beaufort, with further strengthening at night locally to 7 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 06 to 16 to 17 degrees Celsius. In western Macedonia 3 to 4 degrees lower.
IONIAN ISLANDS, EPIRUS, WESTERN SOLIDIA, WESTERN PELOPONNESE, WESTERN PELOPONNESE.
Weather: Improving from the afternoon and from the north.
Winds: Variable 3 to 4 Beaufort and in the south westerly. From the afternoon, western northwestern 4 to 5 Beaufort, and in the evening northwestern in the Ionian Sea, locally 6 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 11 to 18 degrees Celsius. In the interior of Epirus 4 to 5 degrees lower.
EASTERN SOLIDIA, EUBOEA, EASTERN PELOPONNESE
Weather: light clouds, quickly becoming thicker, with local rain from the midday hours and gradual thunderstorms. From the evening in Evia the phenomena will intensify and may be strong at times.
Winds: Variable 3 to 4 and in the southernmost parts westerly 5 to 6 Beaufort. From the evening north, strengthening at night in Evia to 5 to 6 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 08 to 19 degrees Celsius.
CYCLADES, CRETE.
Weather: light clouds which will gradually become thicker, with local rain from the midday hours and thunderstorms from the afternoon. From the evening in the Cyclades the phenomena will intensify and may be occasionally strong in places.
Winds: West 4 to 5, in the south 5 to 6 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 12 to 19 and in Crete up to 20 degrees Celsius.
EASTERN AEGEAN ISLANDS – DODECANESE
Weather: light clouds becoming thicker from midday, with a few local showers from the evening.
Winds: Variable 3 to 4 and in the Dodecanese northwest 5 to 6 with gradual weakening. From the evening in the north northeast 5 to 6 Beaufort with further strengthening at night locally to 7 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 12 to 18 and in the south up to 20 degrees Celsius.
THESSALY
Weather: light clouds that will quickly become thicker, with local rain from the midday hours and gradual thunderstorms. From early evening in eastern Thessaly and the Sporades the phenomena will intensify and may be strong at times.
Winds: Variable 2 to 4 Beaufort. From the afternoon, north-northwest, gradually strengthening in the easternmost mainland and the Sporades to 5 to 6 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 07 to 17 degrees Celsius.
ATTICA
Weather: light clouds that will quickly thicken, with local rain from the midday hours and gradual thunderstorms.
Winds: Variable 3 to 4 Beaufort and from the evening north.

THESSALONIKI
Weather: light clouds that will quickly thicken, with local rain from the midday hours and gradual thunderstorms. From late afternoon the phenomena will intensify and may be occasionally strong mainly in the east of the prefecture.
Winds: Variable 2 to 4 Beaufort. From the afternoon north northwest, gradually increasing to 5 to 6 Beaufort.

The forecast until Saturday
For tomorrow, Wednesday, cloudy weather with local rain and thunderstorms in the morning hours is expected in the eastern mainland and the Aegean Sea. The phenomena are likely to be locally strong until the morning hours in central and eastern Macedonia (mainly in Halkidiki), eastern Thessaly, Sporades, Evia and the Cyclades. The weather will improve from mid-morning in the north and gradually in the remaining areas. Occasional snowfall will occur in the northern mountains until the morning hours. In the western part of the country a few clouds, partly increasing in the afternoon with local rain in the Peloponnese.
Winds will blow from the north 4 to 5 and in the Aegean Sea 6 to 7 Beaufort. The temperature will drop mainly in the northern part of the country and the eastern mainland where it will reach 14 to 15 degrees Celsius. In the rest of the country it will reach 16 to 17 and locally 18 degrees Celsius.
On Thursday, almost clear weather with sparse clouds in most of the country. At noon in eastern Macedonia and Thrace clouds will develop and local rain will occur.
Winds in the southeastern Aegean Sea will blow northwest at 5 to 7 Beaufort. In the rest of the regions, the winds will initially be variable, light and from noon onwards will blow from westerly directions at 3 to 5 Beaufort, locally 6 Beaufort in the south. The temperature will rise slightly.
On Friday a few clouds which will increase in the afternoon and afternoon hours and in the mainland will be local rain and isolated thunderstorms mainly in the mountains.
Winds will blow in the west northwest 3 to 5 and gradually variable light. In the eastern part of the country, winds will blow from the north at 3 to 5 Beaufort and in the Aegean Sea locally 6 Beaufort. The temperature will not change significantly.
On Saturday, clouds in places with occasional showers in the Ionian Sea and the mainland until the afternoon. Winds will be variable, light and in the Aegean Sea from the north 3 to 5 Beaufort. The temperature will not change significantly.
