To mark the one-year anniversary tomorrow of the deadly Hamas attack, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) has released footage of the tragic moments of October 7. The attack that day, which marked the region, led to fierce fighting between Israeli forces and Hamas.
In a statement, the IDF said: “On the morning of October 7, the Hamas terrorist organization launched a violent attack on Israel. The security forces reacted immediately, advancing south and fighting courageously alongside the local defense forces of the surrounding communities, in order to protect the residents of the Gaza border and the country as a whole.”

“The fighting culminated in several settlements and kibbutzes, including Erez, Urim, Reim, Beeri, Alhumim and Nahal Oz. In kibbutz Reim, during a heroic clash in which dozens of terrorists were neutralized, the commander of Unit 888, Colonel Roy Yosef Levi, and the head of the unit’s training company, Captain Yotam Ben Bast, were killed,” the IDF said.

They intercepted 1,250 rockets and missiles, 4,500 explosive devices
Meanwhile, the IDF took stock on the occasion of the one-year anniversary of the October 7 massacre, releasing details and photos of items seized from Hamas gunmen who invaded Israel on October 7, as well as during the fighting in Gaza.
In that time, the IDF has seized some 70,000 items of enemy equipment, including some 1,250 anti-tank missiles and RPGs, as well as some 4,500 explosive devices.
