The arrest of a 52-year-old teacher who was found to have been sending erotic messages to a 14-year-old schoolgirl with the intention of engaging in sexual acts between them was made by officers of the Department for the Protection of Minors of the Attica Security Department.
The police officers were mobilized by a complaint of the 14-year-old girl’s parents to the 10201 line of the Subdivision for the Protection of Minors in which they reported that the 52-year-old teacher exchanges messages of sexual content with their daughter.
The ensuing investigation revealed that in late October 2024, the teacher began having online and in-person communication with the 14-year-old girl.
The messages continued over the following months, with the latest being sent on Monday, and in them the professor allegedly made suggestions to the adult to engage in sexual acts with each other.
According to reports, the exchange of messages led to a meeting between the teacher and the minor on December 31 in his car in Heliopolis, where he performed acts of a sexual nature against the 14-year-old girl, specifically pushing, touching, and kissing the offending parts of her body.
Police officers on Monday afternoon spotted and arrested the 52-year-old while he was leaving his home. A subsequent search of his home yielded digital evidence and the teacher’s cell phone.
The minor testified yesterday Tuesday in the presence of a psychologist while a forensic examiner was requested to examine her, with the teacher also being taken to the prosecutor yesterday.
