The victim of the armed attack that took place at noon Tuesday outside the Thessaloniki bus station, died following two gunshots, one in the head and one in the heart, according to preliminary evidence.
According to protothema.gr, the incident unfolded when a black jeep without license plates intercepted the path of another vehicle, in which two men of Turkish origin were riding. The perpetrators shot the passenger, causing him fatal injuries.

Police authorities, who immediately rushed to the scene, have collected seven shell casings, suggesting the attackers opened fire with particular ferocity. The 39-year-old driver of the vehicle was slightly injured and has already stated to authorities, offering details of the murderous attack.

After the shooting, the perpetrators fled the scene and fled in their vehicle, and authorities are considering the possibility that the black Jeep was used exclusively for this particular act, and has already been abandoned or destroyed. So far, there is no information on the number of people who were in the perpetrators’ vehicle.

The incident happened outside the Thessaloniki bus station, on Megalo Alexandrou Street. Photographic footage from the scene shows bullet holes in the passenger window, confirming the ferocity of the attack.
Police investigations are continuing, with authorities considering the possibility that the incident is related to differences between Turkish criminal organizations.
