More than 72,000 people died or perished along migration routes around the world over the past decade, with the majority of them in crisis-stricken countries, the United Nations said today.
“Since 2014, more than half of these 72,000 people have died or disappeared in the course of their migration to countries experiencing violent unrest or disasters, including Libya, Iran, and Myanmar,” the United Nations said in a new report.
