Praise poured in from both sides of the Atlantic for Giannis Antetokounmpo after his stellar performance on Sunday night, leading Greece to an 84–79 victory over Israel and a spot in the EuroBasket 2025 quarterfinals.
The “Greek Freak,” in just 29 minutes, put up 37 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and dished out 1 assist, finishing with a player efficiency rating of 37 — all while going to the free-throw line only twice.
The Greek superstar was unstoppable, attacking Israel’s basket repeatedly and throwing down powerful dunks whenever he had the chance, despite the opponents’ physical play.
