The cruise ship MSC Splendida managed to rescue 19 migrants who were aboard a small boat near Cabrera, off the coast of Mallorca in the Balearic Islands.

The dramatic video shows the migrants fighting against the waves as they repeatedly tried to climb the ship’s ladder, falling back into the sea again and again.

Many fell into the water trying to reach the life jackets thrown to them from the ship and had to struggle against huge waves to survive, while others fought not to drown.

According to Daily Mail reports, all those rescued are of Maghreb origin. The cruise ship safely transported them to the port of Barcelona.
