Turkish F-16s carried out 33 violations of Greek airspace today, Thursday.

The eight Turkish fighters, two of which were armed, flew in pairs over areas of the northeastern, central, and southeastern Aegean. One of the violations was an overflight over the island of Kinaros.

A Turkish UAV also moved over the archipelago. The Turkish aircraft also committed six infringements of air traffic rules in the Athens FIR.

As reported by the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS), the Turkish aircraft were identified and intercepted in accordance with international rules.
