A 20-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on Sunday afternoon (7/4) on Panormou Street in Ampelokipi.

According to reports, it all happened at the moment when the 20 year old girl, moving on the sidewalk, approached a 59 year old man in order to ask for a tip.

Then the man suddenly attacked her, hugged her and started kissing her with the girl resisting strongly and screaming.

Eventually she managed to get away from him and called the police.

Police officers rushed to the scene and, at the 20-year-old’s suggestion, located the 59-year-old and handcuffed him.

The arrested man was taken to the Security Department of Ampelokipoi and, according to ERT, a case was filed against him for “insulting sexual dignity” and “possession of pornographic material” as naked photos of women were found on his mobile phone.
