Emma’s mother uploaded a touching post on Friday morning (31/5), revealing that she met the recipient of her daughter’s heart.

The 21-year-old student was killed in a traffic accident in Thessaloniki in November 2022 when she was hit by a vehicle driven by a young man who left her bleeding. Emma, a university student studying to become a veterinarian, was hospitalized in the ICU of Papageorgiou Hospital for five days before passing away. After the tragic loss, her parents decided to donate her organs.

The Post:

“My Emma, my love, my life, my breath… Yesterday, I heard your heart beating strongly again… just like when I first heard it on the ultrasound… just like when I held you tightly. The Greek language is rich in words, but there is no word to express this feeling!!

Thank you… for giving me the chance to hear her heart beating strongly again… to feel her warm embrace again…

Thank you for keeping her alive…

I am sure that Emma chose you to take her heart… take good care of her!!”
