The funeral of former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, who passed away on Sunday at the age of 100, will take place on January 9 at the National Cathedral in Washington.
Earlier, as reported by The New York Times, U.S. President Joe Biden declared January 9 a national day of mourning.
Biden will deliver the eulogy during the state funeral. The ceremony will be preceded by eight days of memorial events in honor of Carter in Georgia and Washington.
