Specifically, according to an official document, the General Secretary for Civil Protection, Vasilis Papageorgiou, decided:
“The declaration of the Municipality of Anafi, within the Regional Unit of Thira in the South Aegean Region, in a State of Emergency under Civil Protection measures, in order to address urgent needs and manage the consequences resulting from the seismic activity that has been occurring in the region in recent times.”

At the same time, it is emphasized that this declaration will be in effect from the date of issuance of this decision for a period of one month, until March 13, 2025.
“Upon the expiration of the designated period, the state of emergency will be lifted automatically without the need for a new official document,” the announcement states.
