The Prime Minister made it clear that any solutions will be provided within the European framework, while indirectly criticizing previous governments. “We are not going to promise money we cannot justify, only to have Europe ask for it back later,” he emphasized.
Prioritizing the reform of OPEKEPE (the Greek Agricultural Payments Organization), he acknowledged existing delays but underlined that the reform is essential. “It is unacceptable for honest farmers to go unpaid because the system was built on rules from past decades,” he said.
